Additionally, some updates about the CV Generator – we have been live for more than a year now and are encouraged by the vigorous uptake in the community! At some point in the future, we will expect faculty to use this for promotions and other appointment updates, so now is a good time to transition to an online system for tracking your accomplishments. New features include:
- Assistance in generating an NIH Biosketch
- “Promotion Checker” mode highlights missing required fields
- Enhanced integration with Harvard Catalyst allows you to annotate and classify publications within your Catalyst Profile
- More accurate uploading of existing Harvard Faculty of Medicine-formatted CVs
Future updates to look forward to:
- Automated calculation of yearly teaching hours to make sure you are meeting your teaching requirements
- AI-enabled support for writing an effective CV narrative
- Reporting functionality to support department-level analytics
